Hands-on Class Project

In this project, you’ll create a set of personalized artist trading cards, each inspired by a creative prompt. Begin by choosing several prompts from our list and painting a large sheet of watercolor paper using mixed media techniques. Fill your paper with vibrant, Klimt-inspired patterns, textures, and marks, then cut it into artist trading card-sized pieces.

On the back of each card, write the art prompt that inspired it. Your deck becomes a practical tool for ongoing inspiration. Don’t forget to share a photo of your finished cards in the project gallery—I can’t wait to see your creations!
